Halloween 3

The tag-line for the film is "Witchcraft enters the computer age, and a different terror begins."

The fact that Myers does not appear in Halloween 3: Season of the Witch, which was released in 1982, has prevented many people who enjoyed the first two Halloween films from enjoying the third installment in the series.

Executive producers Carpenter and Hill believed that with Halloween III, they would begin a tradition of releasing a new Halloween movie each year around the time of the holiday. Despite the fact that this is a fantastic concept, it wasn't supposed to be developed further.

Upon the murder of an elderly patient, Dr. Daniel Challis (Tom Atkins) finds himself entangled in a fascinating mystery.

Ellie, the deceased guy's daughter, joins Dr. Challis in the Santa Mira headquarters of the Silver Shamrock. The company's massive marketing strategy has resulted in the world's most popular Halloween masks. There are millions of masks sold throughout the USA because of the company's catchy jingle.

(The location of the Silver Shamrock facility was imagined to be that of a dairy processing plant.)

They are also telling kids to watch a special show on Halloween night, which would kill thousands or even millions of people if it worked. But when Dr. Challis and Ellie look into the situation more, they find out that Conal Cochran, the CEO of Silver Shamrock (Dan O'Herlihy), is planning something.

Even though Halloween 3: Season of the Witch has a few short scenes from the original Halloween, the movie has nothing to do with Myers, Dr. Loomis, Laurie, or Haddonfield. Halloween 3: Season of the Witch is a fun movie on its own, even though it is different from the original two.

The film isn't without flaw—a there's link to Stonehenge that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, for example—but it does have a few memorable sequences. The one that stands out the most is a scene in which Cochran tries out his cunning plan on the family of Buddy Kupfer (Ralph Strait), a salesman who, because he sold so several masks, was given a VIP tour of the plant.

Little Buddy is locked in a room with his mask to watch a show. The chaos that ensues is unforgettable. Conal Cochran's history lesson on Halloween is also memorable.

The Halloween franchise is one of my favorites. Michael Myers appeared in all three films, despite the fact that there were only three. (Halloween IV: Michael Myers Returns and Halloween V: Halloween 3 remake Decker Shado Michael Myers' Revenge) As a consequence, I can't help but wonder whether John Carpenter and Debra Hill would have finished the series with their initial idea.

Really, I don't blame people for not embracing Halloween 3: Season of the Witch. For me, the fault is with whoever added the number "3" to it (which led people to think it was another sequel).

Obviously, whatever I appreciate about Halloween III makes my disappointment at the entire botch of Carpenter and Hill's flat out mess a little more impossible to take.
